Paper Pieced Tea for Kylie

My first sewing of the new year is this paper pieced block for my cocorico bee mate Kylie (threehoneybees). Her theme was Tea Please! Such a cute theme and a fun block to make. I mulled over ideas for so long. I thought about drafting some petite fours but honestly my creative energy is on the lowish side of things. So I used some patterns that are perfectly lovely and I still get to sew pretty blocks! For the kettle I used pattern no.68 from Kumiko Fujita's 318 Patchwork Patterns. The teacups are from  Piece By Number. I used linen in the block which I was a little nervous about but it worked just fine with the help of some starch. It's rainy day today. The perfect kind of day for sewing. Not so great for picture taking! Hope you are sewing something fun today!!!

Happy Sewing!
xo Erin

Love your tea pot and tea cups. They turned out great. Paper piecing is not my friend.
Hope you are having a great weekend.
